A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to invalid addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete email address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of spam email messages, but this issue can be resolved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also crucial to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty in case you have a website hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet stunningly simple to use, and it will permit you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you’ll notice a small-size "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have a different one with this option enabled or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a small button conveniently situated directly next to each of them. With just one single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option through the contextual menu that will come into sight. If any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
